The Lodge at Burro Mountain Homestead
A Gathering Place with Timeless Charm
The Lodge is the heart of Burro Mountain Homestead, and its story stretches back more than a century. Built in 1914 by Colonel Robert Munro-Ferguson and his wife Isabella, the lodge remained in the Ferguson family until 1956. During those years, it welcomed dignitaries such as Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, along with members of English and Scottish nobility.

Today, the lodge is used by Southwestern Camper Ranches (SCR) members and guests as a meeting hall, dining space, and event venue. Whether for casual meals, special functions, or community get-togethers, the lodge remains a place where people connect and share in mountain hospitality.
